In accordance with the Internal Operating Regulations (Chapter E, Article 29), the department encourages and facilitates in every way the mobility of both students and teaching and administrative staff to visit affiliated institutions of higher education or research institutes and organizations. The Department participates through the Institutional structure of NKUA in ERASMUS+ and CIVIS mobility programs. The relevant regulation that applies in each case is that of NKUA in accordance with the requirements of ERASMUS+ and CIVIS.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

ERASMUS+ Students Mobility<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
\n\t

\n\t\t\t

Erasmus+ is the European Commission's program for education, training, youth and sport, which aims to strengthen skills and modernize education, training and youth systems for the period 2021-2027 and has been in force since January 1, 2021. It replaced the EU programs that covered all areas of education: Lifelong Learning \u2013 Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius, Grundtvig, Tempus, etc.<\/p>\n

<\/a>A.1 Program ERASMUS+ Studies<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Erasmus+ Studies program subsidizes the mobility of undergraduate, postgraduate students and doctoral candidates of EKPA for the purpose of studying at European Universities, with which there are bilateral agreements.\u00a0Erasmus+ \u03a3\u03c0\u03bf\u03c5\u03b4\u03ad\u03c2<\/strong>\u00a0financially suports the mobility of undergraduate, postgraduate students and doctoral candidates of the Greek National Academy of Sciences for the purpose of studying at European Universities, with which there are bilateral agreements.<\/p>\n

The main objective of the program is the full academic recognition of the<\/strong>period of study abroad. Students choose from the host University's curriculum courses which must correspond to a maximum of 30 ECTS credits per semester of study or 20 ECTS credits in the case of studies completed within a quarter. The recognition of the studies is done through the transfer and matching of the score and credits with courses of their Department, if they are successfully examined at the host University.<\/p>\n

The selection and assignment of courses<\/strong>is recorded in the<\/strong>\"Learning Agreement for Studies\"<\/strong>form,<\/strong>which is completed<\/strong> >with the guidance of the academic managers<\/strong>of EKPA. The duration of participation is one academic semester. PhD candidates can exceptionally participate for a shorter period of time (minimum two months).<\/p>\n

<\/a>A.2 Program <\/em><\/strong>Erasmus+ <\/em><\/strong>Placement<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The mobility of students for internships abroad aims to gain work experience relevant to the subject of their studies and can be carried out with a physical presence at the host institution, in the host country. It is noted that attending courses at a higher educational institution\/institute or preparing part of their master's\/doctoral thesis cannot be considered an internship.<\/p>\n

Students can move for a total of 12 months in each study cycle (undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral) regardless of the number and type of mobility (studies or internship). The movement of students takes place through the bilateral agreements of the Department in which they study with corresponding departments of the collaborating Universities.<\/p>\n

CIVIS is a network of public European Universities with the aim of creating a European University. The ten Universities that are members of the network are:<\/p>\n

The Department promotes and participates in the actions of the Department of International Academic Programs and Other Educational Activities of the Foundation.<\/p>\n

Mobility is funded centrally with a lump sum to cover needs for the duration. A.3 Movements of short-term outgoing teaching\/research staff<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong>for<\/em> <\/strong><\/em><\/strong>teaching or teaching with embedded training (<\/em><\/strong>STA<\/em> <\/strong>)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This action of the Erasmus+ program concerns the mobility of teaching\/research staff for teaching or a combination of teaching and training, in the universities abroad with which they have concluded Erasmus+ Bilateral Agreements for 2022-2023<\/a>. Traveling professors must be members of the teaching\/research staff. It is noted that according to the directive of the IKY, faculty members who have an educational permit during the period of the move can also move through Erasmus+.<\/p>\n

This action of the Erasmus+ program concerns the movements of outgoing personnel for training in Higher Education Institutions or in a public\/private body active in the labor market or in the fields of education, training and youth.<\/p>\n
