Dr. Dimitra Foufri is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) in the Department of Agricultural Development, Agri-Food and Natural Resources Management (AAADFP) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She received her Doctoral Degree (PhD) in Spatial Planning – Urban Planning from the National Technical University of Athens, she also holds an Interdisciplinary Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the School of Architecture of NTUA and a Bachelor Degree (Ptychio) from the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her PhD thesis in the scientific field of spatial analysis and planning, and in particular the analysis of spatial - social inequalities in relation to public policies, is a holistic approach to the economic, social and cultural parameters of spatial exclusion, in relation to spatial-social dynamics in the wider study area, as well as public policies.

Dr. Dimitra Foufri has served 23 years at the Ministry of Interior, as an executive administration staff and as a Special Scientific Staff. At the same time, she served, for 4 years as President of the Secondary Appeals Committee for International Protection (Asylum) applications. She has also worked at the Research Center for Equality Issues as coordinator of European programs as well as at the Technical Chamber of Greece in the field of Scientific Publications and at the Press Office. Since 2021 she has been working at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also belongs to the main teaching staff of the National Center for Public Administration and Local Government. She has participated in scientific conferences and workshops. She participated as a member of the Scientific Committee of the 6th International Conference on Modern Approach in Humanities and Social Sciences and she has published scientific papers in journals and conferences.
