Athanassios Tsovolos is an Applied Lecturer, holder of an MSc in Environmental Engineering (1999) from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom, at the Department of Agricultural Development, Agri-Food and Natural Resource Management, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He has many years of educational experience, lecturing at the University level in Environmental Subject departments. He has lectured courses on Environmental Engineering, Water and Soil Pollution, Air Pollution, Renewable Energy Sources and Environmental Management Standards.

His research activity focuses on the study and restoration of composite materials, with publications in international scientific journals such as Sensor Letters and Journal of Engineering Science and Technology Review, as well as participation in Greek and international conferences.

At the same time, he has developed significant administrative and organizational activity, participating in numerous committees and having served as an academic Erasmus coordinator. He also has many years of professional experience in the private sector, in positions of responsibility in technical and construction companies.
