Awards – Scholarships
In the Department of Agricultural Development, Agri-Food and Natural Resource Management, we believe in the potential of all our students and encourage them to set high goals and strive to achieve them.
In addition to oral encouragement, by decision of the Department General Assembly, an award is offered to the five freshmen with the highest admission score and for the three leading students of each year per academic year. Also, a symbolic monetary award is foreseen for the student who completes his/her studies with the highest degree. The specific terms and conditions are specified each year and evaluated by the Assembly of the Department.
In addition, the students of the department may receive scholarships and awards (article 23, Law 2413/96), through the Endowments of the University and the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). The number of awards may vary each academic year, depending on the income of each Endowment. Scholarships and prizes are awarded under conditions which may include, but are not limited to, a written competition or selection based on the student's performance and financial situation.
