Ιnternship Program

Το Προπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών του Τμήματος Αγροτικής Ανάπτυξης, Αγροδιατροφής και Διαχείρισης Φυσικών Πόρων παρέχει τη δυνατότητα προαιρετικής συμμετοχής των φοιτητριών/των σε Πρακτική Άσκηση. Η Πρακτική Άσκηση είναι μάθημα επιλογής του 6ου εξαμήνου του Προγράμματος Προπτυχιακών Σπουδών και πραγματοποιείται συνήθως κατά τους θερινούς μήνες Ιούλιο-Αύγουστο. Υπό προϋποθέσεις πρακτική μπορεί να αναλάβουν και φοιτητές/φοιτήτριες στο 4ο έτος φοίτησης, αν δεν έχουν δεσμεύσεις παρουσίας σε εργαστήρια του τμήματος.

The successful completion of the Internship program corresponds to an elective course with a load of six (6) credits (ECTS), and is included in the Degree Supplement. The Internship provides important opportunities to the students of the Department for the acquisition of practical skills and the application of theoretical knowledge, in a first phase of familiarization with the working environment of the subject of their studies.

The main objectives of the Internship Program are:

• The practical training of students in companies active in the wider field of Agricultural Development, Agri-Food, Management of Natural Resources and Renewable Energy Sources for the acquisition of work experience of applied knowledge and practical skills, relevant to the subject of the Department's studies, which will allow a better understanding of the theoretical knowledge of the Study Program.
• The acquisition of experiences that will contribute to the gradual familiarization with the requirements of the workplace and the development of professional awareness and will facilitate their professional orientation and their smooth future integration into the working environment.
• The students' practical awareness of the integrated operation of businesses and organizations, as well as the relationships of interdependence and cooperation that develop in their internal environment, with colleagues from different scientific specializations.

• The continuous updating of the members of the teaching staff of the Department on the priorities, developments, changes, requirements and strategic goals of the business environment, thus achieving a systematic adaptation and updating of the content of the courses of the Study Program.
• The realization of the business entities of the complex advantages of cooperation with higher education institutions and the cultivation of favorable conditions for creative cooperation of different scientific branches, thus contributing to the systematic absorption of the Department's graduates.
• The systematic promotion of the Internship Program with the aim of contributing to the development of close relations with the future employment agencies of the graduates of the Department, primarily businesses of Agricultural Development, Agri-Food, Management of Natural Resources and Renewable Energy Sources, facilitating, with this way, the integration of the Department's graduates into the labor market.
